Off means the mic waits for you to tap it. A mic always stops when you tap it again or close the page. The mics listen in the mic language above. Pick the language you’ll speak; Automatic uses this browser’s language (on iPhone and iPad it works out the language by itself). This choice is kept on this device only.

      Notifications

Reminders, traffic alerts, routine steps and the Tracker nudge show inside the app: a card at the bottom right, and the bell at the top keeps the list.

Two hours before an event with a place, the calendar checks the drive with live traffic and tells you when to leave. It checks again if traffic gets worse, 15 minutes before you should go, and when it's time to go. Online meetings are skipped. “Where I am” uses the home address when location is off.

      Getting started

Maddy is a calendar and task list in one. It runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install. On an iPhone you can add it to your Home screen so it opens like an app.

      • Add an event: use the buttons in the Add Event box at the top left: Speak it, take a Photo of an invitation or flyer, or Type it.
      • Add a task: use the Add Task box at the top of the task list on the right, the same way.
      • See your Google Calendar: open the three-line menu at the top left and click Connect Google Calendar.
      • Change how it looks: the palette icon picks a theme, and the gear opens Settings.

Hold the mouse over almost any button to see what it does.

The app updates itself. When a new version comes out, it reloads on its own while you’re not in the middle of something, or shows a Reload button. Nothing you’ve entered is lost.

Maddy is made in Menlo Park, California, by California National Trading Inc.
